Illegal Dumping Monitored and Punishable
The city and county of Denver take material recycling and hazardous waste disposal very seriously. Both entities routinely monitor neighborhoods and commercial areas to detect any unauthorized dumping. Illegal dumping is constituted by the improper disposal of items such as propane tanks, heating fuel containers and devices, industrial furniture (such as a workbench), household appliances, lawn equipment, outdoor recreational items, and chemicals.Every attempt shall be made by an authorized agency representative to contact the violator and seek resolution of the violation. Conflicts and disputes arising from the enforcement of the rules and regulations shall be resolved by the Manager or an authorized representative.
